Give your students and young audiences a grand musical and cultural celebration of the djembe that they will talk about for a long time.

Each participant receives a djembe and plays with the SAMAJAM artists, guided by a master African percussionist. A festive, accessible, and 100% participatory show for young people that brings them together, energizes them, and introduces them to the richness of African rhythms.

The Djembe Party ✩ SAMAJAM is a classic SAMAJAM signature event, thrilling participants for over 20 years: a collective, festive, inclusive and 100% participatory musical experience, designed to bring together, through the collective playing of percussion, students from primary and secondary schools, as well as family audiences at festivals, public events and youth diffusion.

Guided by an African master percussionist and accompanied by professional SAMAJAM artists, students discover the world of the djembe, and together create powerful and catchy rhythms.

Accessible to all, without any musical prerequisites, this educational show-experience in a youth format reveals the richness of African rhythmic traditions through an immersive, dynamic and unifying cultural experience.

✩ TIMETABLE ✩

Lasting 55 minutes (in a school setting), each student receives a djembe drum and becomes an active participant in the experience. After a brief introduction to this percussion instrument, the SAMAJAM artists guide the group toward the collective creation of authentic and engaging rhythms.
The activity is highly interactive: all the time is dedicated to active play. Each student contributes to the shared energy and enjoys an immersive, unifying experience that fosters both individual and collective expression.
